On February 10, 2009 an EF4 tornado ravaged through Carter County killing at least 8 people, injuring over 40 more and destroying homes and businesses.  Many families were left with nothing.  The Carter County Bar Association has donated $1,000.00 worth of items including diapers, baby wipes, bottles, sippy cups, tooth brushes, toothpaste, etc. to the Lone Grove area.  Special thanks to Deborah Tipps for doing the shopping and to Brad Fenton Motors of Ardmore for providing transportation of the items and for pitching in several cases of bottled water.  More items are needed.  If you would like to donate please contact the First Baptist Church of Lone Grove at 580-657-4713 or the Carter County Civil Defense Director at 580-223-7937
